Junta administrator and informer shot dead in Yangon’s Tamwe Township

According to City-Dawna PDF, a hundred-household administrator was shot dead at the ward administration office on Mahlwa Gone Street, Kyauk Myaung ward in Tamwe Township, Yangon region on 8 August at around 3 p.m.

"The one who got shot was a hundred-household administrator Kyaw Min Han. He is notorious for sharing information to the junta’s troops. He is a very arrogant person. Three young men came in a car and shot him inside the ward's administration office. … He died on the spot," a resident of Tamwe told Mizzima.

The shooting was jointly carried out by Wimoteti Liberation Insurgent group and City-Dawna PDF entering the office under the pretense that they wished to fill in an “overnight guest registration” at the ward’s administration office.

"We went to the administration office to pretend to report overnight guest registration. He was shot seven times. He may be valuable to the terrorist organization (junta) as he is loyal to them. For us, he is nothing more than a monster. There are people who have been arrested and killed because of his actions. That's why we have identified him as someone who deserves to be slain," said a spokesperson for the Wimoteti Liberation Insurgent Group.

On 8 August, the 34th anniversary of the 8888 uprising, the Military regime deployed a large number of forces in various parts of Yangon and tightened security. Despite this tight security, members of the resistance managed to shoot and kill the administrator in a crowded ward in Yangon.
