Unknown assailants killed a civilian and a member of the People’s Defence Forces and wounded another person at a gambling venue in Mong Yu village (also known as 105-Mile) in northern Shan State.
”I’ve no idea which armed group is behind this,” a Mong Yu man told SHAN about the attack in Muse Township at 11am on 26 October.
Members of the Muse Parami Social Volunteer Team collected the bodies of the victims and cremated them.
The local source said the gambling shop was opened recently. ”I think there were 100 members of the People’s Defence Forces present when the unknown group attacked it,” he said.
After the armed forces attacked people peacefully protesting against the coup, PMFs formed all over the country to overthrow the regime.
According to locals, on the day of the attack, there was a clash between the Burma Army and an unknown armed group near Maw Tawng, which is close to Mong Yu.
