“Mizoram organizations to send protest to India’s Home Minister”

5 major civil society organizations of Mizoram state will complain to India’s Home Minister, about the actions of the Military Council violating Indian airspace with a warplane, and dropping two bombs on Indian territory.

On January 10 and 11, the Military Council bombed the Chin National Front (CNF) headquarters, Victoria Camp, located in Thantlang Township of Chin State on the India-Myanmar border for 2 consecutive days with warplanes and also bombed the Farkawn area of Mizoram State.

They said in a statement that “The Myanmar military flying into Indian airspace and dropping two bombs inside Indian territory, is a threat to India’s security and stability. We are concerned and strongly opposed to this,” their statement said.

Leaders from five powerful civil society organizations in Mizoram, Central Young Mizo Association (CYMA), Mizo Upa Pawl (MUP), Mizo Hmeichhia Insuihkhawm Pawl (MHIP), Mizo Zirlai Pawl (MZP) and Mizo Student Union (MSU) met at the CYMA office on January 13 and decided to protest against the action of the Military Council, and they will send a letter to the Home Minister of India to urge the Indian government to protect India’s security and dignity. their statement said.

It is reported that they will send a letter to the Home Minister of India through the Governor of Mizoram in the next few days.
