No budget for employments at 10 ministries of Arakan state government

The Arakan State Parliament began its fourth session in Sittwe, the capital of Arakan, on Monday more than three months after the third session ended in June.

 Narinjara)When the first day of the fourth session started the State government asked for more funding for 10 ministries which have been facing a shortage in their budgets.

According to a government source, the government cannot provide employment salaries for those who work in the respective ministries in the state government.

“The Arakan state parliament resumed on Monday. At the budget session the government asked for more funding for the 10 ministries who cannot supply employment due financial shortages,” said U Mra Kyaw, an Arakan state lawmaker from Sittwe Township.

“There was a dispute in parliament over budget allocations. That will be over come from this session of parliament,” U Aung Mra Kyaw said.

At the opening of the session, Minister of Arakan state U Hla Maung Tin presented the annual report for the 2011-2012 financial year.

In the Arakan state government, there are 10 ministries: Security and Border Affairs, Finance and Revenue, Agriculture Livestock and Breeding, Forestry and Mines, Planning and Economics, Transport, Electric Power and Industry, Development Affairs and Social Affairs.
