United Nations Special Envoy to Burma Ibrahim Gambari is scheduled to meet tomorrow with a handful of leaders from Burma’s main opposition party, National League for Democracy.

According to the United Nations Information Center in Burma’s former capital of Rangoon, the Special Envoy yesterday met with junta Foreign Minister Nyan Win as well as members from the diplomatic corps, United Nations Rangoon team and International Committee for the Red Cross.

At present the participation of National League for Democracy leader Aung San Suu Kyi has yet to be confirmed for tomorrow’s talks, though it is expected that she will be included in the five member delegation.
