The three conditions will include discussions on the placement of troops from both sides and an agreement on the involved parties who will sign the ceasefire.

The UNFC will discuss their proposed regulations at the Lazia summit talks from 25-31 October.

“We have such high hopes for the Laiza summit meeting,” said Naing Han Thar. “I am sure [it will produce] a strong and definite solution to the problems among the ethnic forces.”

During the summit, ethnic armed groups will consider signing a nationwide ceasefire. All of the groups must unanimously agree on a set of terms and the national government must also give its consent before a ceasefire can be approved.
