Chin Idol Concert Planned For Malaysia
A Chin Idol and Live Concert (CILC) is coming to Malaysia’s capital Kuala Lumpur in early 2013. The concert organized by the Chin Celebrity and Music Entertainment (CCME) will take place from Jan. 13-14.
Chin celebrities of the likes of Mami Varte from Mizoram in India and many others will be performing. So far the lineup includes performers; Mai Sung Tin Par, Thawn Kham, Cung Lian Thawng and Solomon Men Ri Hei.
The CCME will preselect 18 singers from a competition in Malaysia for the upcoming concert. There will also be Chin cultural fashion show for both men and women.
There are about 40,000 Chin refugees living in Malaysia.
