Sagaing Division, Chin State: Leaders of the Chin National Front (CNF) have been invited to the Chin Tho Festival, Tho, in Kalemyo, Sagaing Division, Burma.
The festival, running from Oct.- 29, is being held for the first time in the Kale-Kabaw Valley.
Laimi Funtomnak Bu (LFB), a Chin social group led by Pu Enoch, who was a Sagaing Division independent candidate in the 2010 national elections, will organize the cultural event.
“Dr. Lian Hmung Sakhong, Pu H.C Ralhnin, CNF liaison office in-charge of Than Tlang Town and Dr. Sui Khar have been invited to attend the Tho festival,” said a committee member.
Chin wrestlers and a dozen football teams from the villages around Kalemyo will compete during the festival. There will also be cultural dances and singing performed.
