The bodies of four Burmese soldiers have been found near Tui Vang, Sagaing Division. Two more soldiers have been reported to be missing.

A Burmese army lieutenant, a corporal and two privates were found in the middle of the month. It is suspected they were killed by the two missing soldiers.

The Lieutenant’s body was identified. Recently he was transferred to Hakha, the capital of Chin state. There are rumors that he was killed out of jealously by the other soldiers because he was promoted to officer at a young age.

But some local people think the Burmese soldiers were killed by members of the United National Liberation Front (UNLF). The rebel group from Manipur, India, is known to visit Tui Vang.

Army authorities are on the lookout for the missing Burmese soldiers.
