Dr. Tint Swe MP of the National Coalition Government of the Union of Burma (NCGUB) imparted free medical checkup for Burmese people in Aizawl city, Mizoram northeast state of India on May 4 and 5.

Dr. Tint Swe arrived in Aizawl to meet NGOs in Mizoram and to attend a consultation meeting on “Regime change in Burma: Post 2010 Elections and its Consequences”.

Talking about the medical checkup, a weaver woman said, “We were very glad to meet Dr. Tint Swe in Aizawl. He checked our health.”

Dr. Tint Swe checked about 100 people in Aizawl city free every night. The health checkup especially benefitted the Burmese weavers’ community.

“The free clinic was very crowded. He did checkups from 2 pm to 7 pm in Zuangtui block,” said a member of the Burmese Social Welfare Committee.

“We have communication problem when we go for medical checkups in Aizawl hospital or clinics. This check up was very convenient for us and it was free. We were glad we were visited by a Burmese doctor,” said a woman.

Dr. Tin Swe is opening the Yamonna Free Clinic in New Delhi for the Burmese community.

In Aizawl Dr. Tint Swe discussed the political situation in Burma with leaders of Burmese democracy activists and social welfare groups on 6 May.
