Teknaf, Bangladesh: Seven Burmese refugees and two Bangladeshis were robbed in Teknaf by local goons on October 2, noon on the day of Eid-ul-Fitre, said Dil Mohamed.

They were invited by Sayed Hussain, a leader of labourers of Teknaf land port   on the day of Eid. His house is in Ayakkali Para, Teknaf. When the group, inviters of Sayed Hussain, arrived in Ayakkali Para, eight local goons attacked them and snatched two mobile phones and 19,500 Taka.

During the robbery, three of the victims Shabbir, Mujib and Sayed Hussain were injured. While Shabbir was stabbed on his back by the toughs, Sayed Hussain's hand was cut and the Mujib was stabbed in the abdomen, arm and chest.

The injured persons were admitted at Teknaf hospital for treatment.

The other victims  were identified as  Dil Mohamed (30), son of Noor Mohamed, Block-C, Md. Rafique (25), Block-C, Abdu Sukkur (22), son of Rashid Ahmed, Block-E, Noor Hakim (27), Block-S, Shabbir Ahmed (21), son of Kabir Ahmed, Block-C and  Md. Yasin (20), son of Md. Kasim, Block-B, from Leda.

They have filed case with the Teknaf police station against the robbers, said another refugee.
