More 35-Rohingya pushed back to Burma

Teknaf, Bangladesh: Border guard of Bangladesh (BGB) personnel pushed back 35-Rohingya to Burma through different points of Naikhon Chhori and Shahapari Dip (Island) border point to Teknaf yesterday afternoon, according to BGB sources.

“The Rohingyas were arrested while entering Bangladesh territory from Arakan State. They all belong to Maungdaw and Maungdaw Townships.”

Sources said, they came Bangladesh from Arakan State of Burma for job, crossing the Naff River yesterday morning.

Later, the BGB members pushed back the Rohingyas, Lt Col Mohammad Khale- kuzzaman, Commander of BGB’s 17 Battalion in Cox’ Bazar, confirmed the report.

Meanwhile, influx of Rohingyas in Teknaf border areas increasing day by day as Nasaka (Burma’s border security force), encouraging them to enter Bangladesh, locals said.

The situation of Arakan state is not improving, and also day by day becoming bad to worse, so the Roingya community is facing acute food crisis and other problems.
