Nasaka (Burma’s border security force) arrested one Rohingya youth in Maungdaw on Nov.6 over allegations that he instigated sectarian violence last June, according to a neighbor who didn’t want their name used.

Roffique (25), from Panug Zaar village is currently being detained at the local Nasaka camp.

Violence that broke out in Arakan State between Arakanese Buddhists and Rohingya Muslims in June and October have resulted in at least 150 being killed and displacing about 110,000 people. The UN stated that the majority of those displaced from the October communal violence have been Muslims.
