Rohingyas convicted of taking part in June sectarian violence  were sentenced to 10-year prison terms, on Oct. 29,  according to one relative who didn’t want their name used.

“They appeared in court 2-3 times. They were not questioned during the trial. Nor did they have the right to say anything. The witnesses were not interrogated.”

Furthermore they weren’t allowed to hire lawyers to represent them in court and question the defendants, said a trader from Buthidaung town.
