Médecins Sans Frontières(MSF) provided special treatment to ill students from  the Home  Education program at the unofficial refugee camp at Kutupalong on April 26, at about 12:00pm, according to a school teacher from the camp.

This refugee child has been suffering chicken pox.

“Recently, most of the refugee children, including the Home Education program students, have been suffering from chicken pox, pneumonia, measles and fever,” the source said in an interview.

“We are facing problems teaching the ill students in the program, so we made a request to MSF, which is providing health care to refugees and locals, to give us a special treatment program for students. The MSF officer gave a treatment program for students where the MSF staff checked the students and gave medicines. We thankMSF from our Home Education program.”

“We thank MSF and the teachers for the treatment program for our children – who have been suffering from chicken pox, pneumonia, measles and fever because we haven’t been able to take them to the clinic as we have no money,” said  Abdul Amin, an old refugee from the camp.

“We also thank our young refugees who have been teaching our children in the camp where around 1000 children are going to the Home Education program. It is the first time our children are getting education in the camp since we have been living here.”
