Teknaf, Bangladesh: Seventeen Rohingya were arrested and pushed back to Burma by Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) on September 20, said a local from Teknaf.

“BGB arrested 17-Rohingya from Shapurid Dip under Teknaf police station while they were entering the Bangladesh.”

The arrested ohingyas were entering with a row boat. They were eleven children, five women and a man.

The operation was led by BGB officer Sarwar Uddin from Border-Out Post of Shapuri Dip, official said.

Sarwar Uddin, the officer confirmed that BGB arrested them at nine o’clock and pushed back to Burma at 11: pm after investigation.

According to sources, they came to Bangladesh from Burma to see their relatives in the refugee camp.
