5 MCL foreign employees charged under immigration law

Five foreign employees from Mawlamyine Cement Limited (MCL) in Kyaikmayaw Township, Mon State, are charged by the Kyaikmayaw Township Immigration Department for illegally staying in the township, according to Mon State’s Ministry of Population and Immigration.

Authority allot Rohingya lands to build pagoda

Maungdaw, Arakan State: The concerned authority - Maungdaw district admin officer, Township admin officer, Burma border guard police (BGP) officers and land survey officers – allotted 10-acre arable land of Rohingyas to build a pagoda and other purposes in Maungdaw south on August 24, Mohin from Maungdaw said.

21st Century Panglong to be held every six months

The Union Peace Conference or 21st Century Panglong will be held every six months and non-signatories to the Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement will be allowed to participate, state media reported on 16 August quoting U Zaw Htay, Spokesperson of the Presidential Office.
