Moe Kyaw — The Zomi Congress for Democracy (ZCD) has won six seats in Tiddim and Ton Zang townships in Chin State.

“We ran in twelve constituencies. We won a total of six seats: three seats in Ton Zang Township and three seats in Tiddim Township. We won fifty percent,” said ZCD General Secretary Pu Gim Kam Lian.

ZCD Chairman Pu Chin Sian Thang, who won a Lower House seat in Tiddim, said he will submit all relevant public issues to Parliament.

“As the Pyithu Hluttaw (Lower House) is more concerned with the public, the most important thing is to enact laws for such matters and amend laws that aren’t good,” said Pu Chin Sian Thang.

When Pu Chin Sian Thang was with Zomi National Congress (ZNC) he took a seat in the 1990 Election in Tiddim Township.  He’s a member of the Committee Representing the People’s Parliament (CRPP).

Polling results for ZCD:

Tiddim Township

Pu Chin Sian Thang (Lower House)

Pu Gim Kam Lian (Upper House)

Pu Thang Dei Khup (State Parliament)

Ton Zang Township

Pu Kham Khan Thang (Lower House)

Pi Cing Ngaih Mang (Upper House)
